Vincent treats us to a peek under the hood of recently released APEX 21.1. APEX’s Universal Theme is completely re-written in this latest release in order to leverage a new technology called CSS variables. One of the challenges when writing a theme is to make all components consistent with each other and the best way to do that is to use the concept of a variable, like in other programming languages.
