Many companies are now planning some kind of migration to the cloud for their Enterprise Resource Planning systems. This is because there are many advantages to getting your ERP on a Cloud infrastructure. Firstly, the cloud provides an elastic computing environment. You can instantly access more resources such as processing power and memory, or instantly have less if they aren’t needed. Secondly, a cloud service better provisions, measures, controls and optimizes the environment for your users. Finally, As an ERP admin, you don’t need to wait for the architect, for additional storage, or for each database group to perform their individual activities. You can also quickly create or do away with new development or testing instances. And the list goes on.
APEX fits with your ERP on a Cloud Infrastructure
Oracle has several cloud options for ERP systems. So when selecting from these solutions, Oracle APEX users may wonder where APEX fits into all this. The great news is that it fits in everywhere! In fact, APEX can be used regardless of your deployment model to create robust and secure applications. The only exception to this rule is when using an ERP database solely with SaaS (Software as a Service). Even then, if you are operating a Cloud or On-Premise database with SaaS it will work!
